Looking for a celebrant?
Hi, I’m Claire Considine - a marriage celebrant who’ll do everything I can to make your ceremony one of the best bits of your whole day. Yep, right up there with your grandma tearing up the dance floor and everyone belting out ‘Mr Brightside’ like their lives depend on it.
Since 2019, I’ve been lucky enough to marry couples across Newcastle, Lake Macquarie, the Hunter Valley and the Central Coast.
If you’re after a ceremony that’s heartfelt without the cheese, funny without the awkward and 100% you - I’m your girl.
Whether it was love at first sight or a well-timed swipe right, every couple has a story to tell. I can’t wait to share yours.
My superpower is doing everything humanly possible to help my couples feel relaxed and fully present so they can genuinely enjoy their wedding ceremony.

Master of Ceremonies (MC)
I’ll keep the night on track and the crowd entertained, so you can focus on the most important thing - having the time of your life.
You’re looking for someone who’s got your back - whether it’s helping you with your vows, explaining the paperwork, fixing your veil or making you laugh right before you walk down the aisle.
You want your ceremony to be full of the moments you want and none of the stuff you don’t (aside from the legal bits - we have to include those).
You’re looking for a ceremony that’s tailored to the two of you. Whether you’re dreaming of something that’s heartfelt, fun or totally outside the box, it will perfectly match the vibe you want to create.
You’re not necessarily keen on being the centre of attention, but you still want to love your ceremony and feel completely comfortable on the day.
You want to be supported every step of the way, through a process that’s simple (and at times, really fun).
You’re looking for a celebrant that feels like a close friend - someone who will share in your excitement leading up to your wedding and on the day.
I’m the perfect celebrant for you, if…
The most meaningful and memorable weddings I’ve officiated have been in backyards, muddy paddocks and last-minute, thrown-together Plan C venues. What I’ve learnt is that what matters isn’t the setting - it’s the love, the commitment, the focus on what truly matters and the people you choose to share it with.
Beautiful venues, spectacular florals and incredible styling? They’re the cherry on top. But for me, the real magic will always come from you two, your story and the promises you make to each other on your wedding day.
It’s not about how your ceremony looks, it’s about how it makes you feel.
Reviews hotter than a January wedding in a suit
If you're looking for someone who's a professional, but feels like a friend, Claire's your girl.
Claire was nothing but a pleasure to communicate with throughout the whole process leading up to our wedding, both online, and in person! We truly felt at ease and confident with everything put in Claire's hands. We wanted our ceremony to be the perfect mix between light-hearted and sincere, and we wanted someone who was funny, but wouldn't treat our ceremony like their own comedy gig! Claire was perfect for us. She really learnt about our story and our ceremony was everything we could have asked for.

Our day with Claire was amazing. I can't think of a better outcome than choosing Claire as our celebrant.
From the very start meeting at our local pub, Claire made us feel at ease, effortlessly navigating through the wedding planning process and making sure all the necessary parts for an actual marriage happened flawlessly. Funny, friendly and welcoming - all of our guests loved Claire and I would (and do) recommend Claire to anyone getting married. Excellent communication, service, organisation and I always felt like I could trust and rely on her. I loved having her as our celebrant and as part of our day.

Claire was everything we could've hoped for in a marriage celebrant and more.
Attentive in the lead up, responsive to all our questions, lighthearted in her delivery on the day and yet warm in all the right places. She was the perfect balance and we couldn't recommend her more. Thank you so much Claire, our day would never have been the same without you!

Your celebrant questions, answered
Choosing a marriage celebrant is one of the most important parts of planning your ceremony. Here are some of the most common questions couples ask me when we first chat. From what a celebrant actually does, to how I help with vows, and everything in between.
-
A marriage celebrant creates, officiates and legally registers your wedding ceremony. But a great celebrant is so much more than that. They’re a storyteller, a party starter, a calming presence and the steady hand you didn’t know you’d need. They help will all the legal stuff, of course, but they also hand you a tissue when the emotions hit, keep the ceremony on track when a flower girl goes rogue and is there to remind you to take a deep breath and soak it all in.
As your celebrant, I’m there to guide you through every step - from crafting a ceremony that reflects your love, to making sure everything runs smoothly on the day.
I work alongside you and your partner to design a ceremony that feels personal, relaxed and true to who you are as a couple.
-
Choosing a celebrant is all about finding someone you connect with. Look for someone whose style matches the kind of ceremony you want - whether that’s warm and heartfelt, fun and relaxed, or a little bit of both. You can also get to know a few celebrants before you decide. I’m always up for a quick call or Zoom catch-up so you can get a feel for who I am and how I work - it’s a great way to see if we click.

I’m a marriage celebrant based in Newcastle, NSW, but I happily travel to help marry couples all over. Whether you’re planning a coastal ceremony in Lake Macquarie, a vineyard wedding in the Hunter Valley, a relaxed backyard celebration in Maitland or a beachfront ceremony on the Central Coast - I love working with couples in all kinds of locations.
From rustic barns and sunny gardens to stylish venues and barefoot beach setups, if you’re getting married in or around Newcastle, Lake Macquarie, the Hunter Valley, Maitland or the Central Coast, I’d love to be a part of your day.
Not sure if I travel to your wedding location? Just ask! If it’s within a few hours of Newcastle, chances are I’ll be able to make it work.
-
Once you’ve paid a booking fee and signed the contract, I’ll guide you through every step - from lodging the legal paperwork to designing a ceremony from scratch. Want to know more about how it all works? Head over to the ‘Process’ section for the full rundown.

I’d describe my celebrant style as relaxed, light-hearted but incredibly organised. I’m really calm under pressure, a natural storyteller and I always try to ensure my ceremonies strike the right balance between fun and heartfelt. My goal isn’t to create perfect ceremonies or to expect perfection from my couples - I’m here to craft and deliver a ceremony that’s real, meaningful and memorable.

I’m Claire Considine (but you can call me CC). I’m a wife, mum of two, marketer by trade, civil marriage celebrant, one-time Guinness World Record holder and game show contestant winner. I’m known for my quick wit, love of a good pun, calming presence and ability to talk to anyone about anything.
I love asking hypothetical questions, collecting and sharing good stories and helping people feel completely at ease. Girlfriend magazine once described me as ‘more organised than a super-cute stationary store’ - and honestly, I’ve been riding that high ever since.
