Meet Claire – your Newcastle celebrant

I’m a wife, mum of two, marketer by trade, civil marriage celebrant, one-time Guinness World Record holder and game show contestant winner. I’m known for my quick wit, love of a good pun, calming presence and ability to talk to anyone about anything.

I love asking hypothetical questions, collecting and sharing good stories and helping people feel completely at ease. I’ll take a deep and meaningful chat over small talk any day.

I’m a millennial and proud of it - I’ll happily rock a crew sock to fit in with Gen Z, but I’m not above slipping into an ankle one if the moment (or a large pile of washing) calls for it.

I like my wine red, my bedtime reasonable and my playlists full of 90s bangers. Think CC Babcock energy (minus the scheming). If you’re after a celebrant who’ll bring a little wit, warmth and a whole lot of heart to your day, I’d love to chat!

A few fun facts about me

Cake is my love language

My grandma Von always said there was a second stomach for dessert, which is a philosophy I live by to this day. I was even proposed to with a cupcake, so naturally I said yes (to my now husband and the cake that I inhaled 2.5 seconds after).

I’m certified Type A (and proud of it)

Girlfriend magazine once described me as ‘more organised than a super-cute stationary store’ - and honestly, I’ve been riding that high ever since. Nothing brings me more joy than a beautifully colour-coded spreadsheet or perfectly planned wedding day run-sheet.

Two kids, two icons

Our two kids are named after our greatest loves: Jude after Jude Bolton from the Sydney Swans (my husband’s pick) and Parker after the one and only Hallie Parker from the Parent Trap (my forever favourite film). Side note: The older I get, the more I relate to Meredith Blake - those twins really did deserve to be shipped off to Switzerland.

Wedding obsessed in the best way

In addition to marrying couples since 2019, my husband and I have been to 32 weddings as guests and I've been a bridesmaid five times. We’ve seen a whole heap of amazing suppliers in action - if you need any recommendations I'm always happy to help.
